The purpose of the curriculum is to provide students with the educational and clinical skills necessary to assist 护理人员 in recognizing and understanding the symptoms/治疗/guidance of Alzheimer’s disease (AD) and related dementias (RDs). The program will build a student’s communication skills with respect to cultural sensitivity and person-centered plans. The program will provide skills to help differentiate between the multiple systems and strategies to effectively navigate through various institutions including federal (to include the VA), 状态, county and local health and social 年龄ncies. This certificate curriculum will also assist students who are presently working for 年龄ncies that provide services to individuals with Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.

This program is grant funded. Tuition is covered for accepted students.
Compare and contrast Alzheimer’s Diseases and related dementias as a public health crisis and the current barriers to care and services.
Demonstrate effective communication and relationship building skills that traverse dynamic networks of professionals, 家庭, 护理人员, and the person experiencing Alzheimer’s disease and other related dementia.
Integrate information on the symptoms, 治疗, and guidance of Alzheimer’s disease and related dementias.
